Every role matters

Ways to be involved

Whether on stage, behind the scenes, performing in the orchestra, or creating lighting and sound, students have the opportunity to develop confidence, communication skills and team working skills while working towards a shared goal. Productions provide a unique platform for pupils to challenge themselves, discover new talents and experience the excitement of live performance.

On stage

Acting the lead and ensemble roles that bring each production to life.

Behind the scenes

Directing, stage-managing, and producing the show alongside the drama team.

In the orchestra

Playing the score in the pit — often our largest musical ensemble of the year.

Lighting & sound

Designing, cueing and operating the lighting and sound for every performance.

Our commitment

A culture of performance

Our productions reflect the school's commitment to participation and enrichment, encouraging students to engage with drama, music and the performing arts in a supportive and inspiring environment. From ambitious theatrical performances to musical showcases, these events celebrate the dedication, imagination and hard work of our students and staff.

We are proud of the vibrant culture of performance at SHSB and look forward to welcoming students, families and the wider community to our future productions.
