Supporting our school community all year round

The SHSB Parents Association supports the school community through fundraising activities and by helping at a range of school events. Over the years, the Association has raised thousands of pounds which has contributed towards projects and activities within the school.

How the Association supports SHSB

Supporting school events

The Parents Association helps at many key school events, including concerts and school productions, where volunteers run raffles and serve refreshments for audiences and families. These events help raise additional funds and support the wider school community.

Pop-up shops

Throughout the year, the Association also organises pop-up gift shops for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, giving students the opportunity to buy small gifts for family members.

Pre-loved uniform shop

In addition, the PA runs the school’s pre-loved uniform shop, helping families purchase second-hand uniform items at affordable prices.

Easyfundraising

The Association also uses the Easyfundraising app, which allows parents and supporters to raise money for the school simply by shopping online with participating retailers, at no extra cost. You can join for free by downloading the Easyfundraising and selecting Southend High School for Boys.

New members are always welcome. Whether helping occasionally at events or becoming more involved throughout the year, there are plenty of ways for parents and carers to support the Parents Association and the school community. Fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and support for our fundraising initiatives are always appreciated.
