Business Studies
Business Studies helps students understand the organisations, decisions and economic forces that shape modern society. In a world increasingly influenced by business activity, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to understand how organisations operate and how they influence our daily lives.
Students develop understanding of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, operations, leadership and strategy. The curriculum seeks to develop informed consumers, future leaders and enterprising young people who can think critically about business decisions and their wider impact.
In the classroom
Students engage with contemporary business issues through case studies, research projects, enterprise activities, discussions and debates. They regularly analyse businesses and evaluate decisions using business theories and models.
Learning encourages critical thinking, communication and problem-solving while making strong links to current affairs and global events.
